Certification Information for Graduates of Teacher Education Programs Completed Outside of Canada

The Certification Process:

The certification process for teachers from outside of Canada or the USA is carried out in two steps:

Step 1:  Assessment – We use the results of your World Education Services
               (WES) evaluation to conduct an assessment of your credentials
               and let you know if you qualify for a Saskatchewan Teacher’s
               Certificate.  If you do not qualify for a certificate, we will tell
               you what you will need to do in order to meet Saskatchewan’s
               certification requirements.

Step 2:  Certification – If you qualify for a Saskatchewan Teacher’s
               Certificate, you will be required to submit several additional
               documents before we will be able to issue you a certificate.
               You will receive a letter from Educator Services listing the
               documents we require.
